This course provides an overview of the basics of generative artificial intelligence (AI), from its historical background to its theoretical and conceptual foundations, and finally to its practical applications. We explore the most common applications of generative AI and the latest trends in the field.

During the course, you will explore different application programming interfaces for generative AI and how they are used to create creative solutions. We also explore the role of creativity in generative AI and how it affects the perception of art, artistic work and other creative applications. We also cover production in media, design and art and explore different methods and techniques to create dynamic and unique works using generative AI.

The course also addresses educational aspects and how generative AI can be used in education, while also addressing the challenges, opportunities and risks associated with this.

Ethical perspectives play a central role in the course as we explore the use of generative AI, including issues of values, autonomy and ownership. We also analyse gender, diversity and equal opportunities perspectives and issues for generative AI, including issues of gender bias and other forms of discrimination.

Finally, we discuss the future of generative AI and explore the developments we can expect in the field, including new innovations and potential challenges.
