Applied Data Mining, 7.5 hp

The purpose of the course is for the student to have the opportunity to become acquainted with the practical challenges that one encounters in real data mining problems in computer networking and network security. The student will meet business problems that entail quantitative and qualitative analyses of available data, selection of appropriate algorithms and evaluation of results. Using this workflow, the student is expected to gain understanding of both opportunities and limitations with different machine-learning methods used for computer networks and network security.

The teaching takes place at a distance without meetings on campus.
