Applied Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence

In this course, students will learn about the relationship between data, models, and algorithms in order to understand how to process and draw insights from data through data mining and machine learning. The course will introduce some machine learning theory, but will focus primarily on current applied methods. Successful machine learning applications must be designed through critical thinking and understanding of the data, the algorithms that can be applied based on the type of features the data exhibits, and choosing the right machine learning paradigm. This course provides a foundation for using machine learning in an ethical and responsible way.
